Situated in the heart of Dublin, CA, Relo Vietnamese Sandwich and Coffee is a vibrant Asian restaurant that masterfully brings authentic Vietnamese flavors to life. Specializing in traditional Vietnamese bánh mì sandwiches alongside a creative array of coffee offerings, Relo is a culinary gem for those seeking both classic comfort and modern twists.
The moment you bite into one of Relo’s bánh mì sandwiches, you'll appreciate the meticulous balance of textures and flavors. Their baguettes achieve the perfect harmony of a crisp, golden crust paired with a light, airy interior—an essential foundation that elevates every filling. The Pork Banh MI, with tender, grilled pork seasoned to savory perfection, and the Cold Cut Meats and Pate bánh mì are standouts, richly layered with generous amounts of savory meats and creamy, rich pâté that customers like Gloria Mak rave about for its unapologetic generosity and authentic taste.
Beyond the sandwiches, Relo’s menu shines with options like the Build a Bowl featuring grilled pork, bulgogi, or grilled chicken nestled over fragrant rice, offering a satisfying and well-rounded meal that Charles Boyer highlights for its perfect portion size—enough to fill you without leaving you overly stuffed. Don't miss their crispy, golden Lumpia spring rolls, which pair beautifully with their fresh and bold dipping sauces.
What truly makes Relo stand apart is its exceptional coffee menu. From the velvety Banana Latte made with real bananas to the rich and sweet Café Sua Da (Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk), each sip is an adventure. Michele Shi was captivated by the banana latte’s natural sweetness and creamy texture, reinforcing how Relo pays just as much attention to crafting drinks as they do to their food. Their inventive lattes—like the pandan, ube, and salted honey—add layers of unique aromas and flavors that awaken your palate.
The atmosphere at Relo is cozy yet bustling, marked by friendly and efficient staff who contribute to an inviting ambiance. While seating is limited and the restaurant often popular, especially with locals or those venturing from neighboring cities, takeout options make it easy to enjoy their hearty, flavor-packed meals wherever you wish. Juan P's enthusiasm for Relo’s generous portions and welcoming service perfectly encapsulates the warmth and value the restaurant delivers.
Though some guests, like "thru," note occasional variability in bread freshness or flavor intensity—particularly in the cold cut bánh mì—the overall consensus is firm: Relo Vietnamese Sandwich and Coffee offers an exceptional blend of authentic flavors, generous servings, and innovative beverages at a great price point. Whether you crave a classic pork bánh mì, crave a refreshing iced latte, or want to dive into a combination bowl, Relo invites you to savor a genuine taste of Vietnam in every bite and sip.
I love coming to this restaurant anytime I'm in the area. Their Build a Bowl option is delicious and always gives me more than enough food to feel satisfied but not overly full. The staff is friendly and courteous. The price is also tough to beat for what you get. Totally worth it. I cannot recommend this place enough
Great banh mi place in the Tri-Valley area! I had their cold cut banh mi. The pate is good and they don't skimp out on the meats and head cheese.
This was a more than pleasant surprise after we came to get blossom bee next door and it wasn't open yet. The banh mi were AMAZING and seriously some of the best i've ever had. I think the bread is to thank for that. it is extremely crispy yet chewy and light. We got chicken and some pork fillings (pork pictured). The drinks are also fantastic. I got the banana latte made with real bananas, and we got the bac xiu (vietnamese iced coffee). Both on the sweeter side but nonetheless delicious. Will definitely be coming back!
This place is AMAZING!!! The price for the quantity is unmatched - and the food is good as well! The Bahn Mi, the spring rolls and the bowls are all HUGE and PACKED. I really can’t recommend this place enough - please go visit. They’re friendly too and - well the only downside is seating is limited and they are quite popular, but you can easily get takeout. Fantastic place !!!!!
Reviews are so good that I drove out from CV to get a banh mi and egg rolls. I got extra pate on a cold cut banh mi. Banh mi bread 8.5/10… crispy outside, soft inside, but I can tell it’s not the most fresh. The sandwich itself… 7/10 good amount of filling but bland tbh…Maybe get a bbq meat one instead of the cold cut? Got a banana latte too… not bad I enjoyed it. Prices were fair tho, I did like that. Egg rolls, 8/10 standard and tasty
Small shop, but great friendly service. Ordered Vietnamese Coffee (iced) to go and so pleased it was made on the spot. Fresh! Great flavor. Perfect caffeine jolt! After some errands, decided to come back for sandwiches. Fresh rolls, of course. Got sliced meat with pate (first and most popular item on menu) Will come back for sure!
Not only very reasonably priced but absolutely fresh and well crafted in everything Relo does. The passion fruit guava is undeniably made from real ingredients and full of flavors that perfectly offset a hot a day. The eggrolls are crispy, well balanced, and addicting. The banhmi’s are all very well portioned with some of the best bread you’ll have, filled with meat and veggies that will make you consider coming back the next day. On top of all the great food they’re extremely friendly and quick. A real treat to have this establishment so close to us. Parking is always easy and there is outdoor and indoor seating. I went sailing one day and got some sandwiches to go, if you ask they’ll put the pickled ingredients on the side so you can assembly it when you’re ready. Why get a sandwich anywhere else?
My new favorite banh mi place in the bay area! The cold cut had plenty of meat and the bread was warm and fresh tasting. Costs less than $10 too!
